ARTISTIC THERAPY

What is Artistic Therapy?

Artistic therapy is a powerful, yet gentle practice that welcomes individuals from all walks of life a creative and compassionate space to express, connect, and transform.

With over six years of experience, our qualified artistic therapist Emma Toy creates a safe, supportive space that celebrates each person, helping to build confidence, lift mood, and support emotional wellbeing.

Using expressive mediums such as watercolour and clay, and taking inspiration from the natural environment, Emma helps individuals to experience profound relaxation and focus and build their own capacity for self-development. Her approach honours each person’s unique journey, offering support in a respectful and inclusive environment.

No previous artistic experience is required - only a willingness to explore. Participants are empowered to learn new ways to support their wellbeing even once sessions have concluded.

Artistic therapy can help with:

  • confidence and independence

  • promoting relaxation, mindfulness, and self-care

  • reducing anxiety and stress, and lifting mood

  • encouraging communication and connection

  • processing grief, trauma, and life transitions

  • emotional regulation and self-expression

Who can benefit from Artistic Therapy?

Artistic therapy can be a valuable source of support for people of all ages and backgrounds. Emma works with individuals of any age who may be:

  • experiencing stress, anxiety, or depression

  • healing from trauma, grief, addiction or serious illness

  • navigating emotional or behavioural challenges (a formal diagnosis is not required)
